UC Berkeley Maximino Martinez Commons

As part of the UC Berkeley 2020 Long Range Development Plan, UC Berkeley constructed a new six-story residential building located across from the historic Anna Head School. The residential complex, known as Maximino Martinez Commons, is located two blocks from the main campus. The facility provides undergraduate residential apartments that incorporate suites, student collaborations rooms, lounge areas, and student computer laboratory spaces.

EHDD and Behnisch Architekten were the architects for the UC Berkeley Martinez Commons Student Housing project. We performed substantial revisions to bring the project into code compliance and construction documents buildable. The project is LEED Gold certified.
