UC Berkeley Clark Kerr Campus Renewal

Berkeley, California

The two-phase renewal project for UC Berkeley restored and renovated seven dorm and suite buildings including a conference center. This included complete upgrades to building and site infrastructure and by providing much-needed access and fire/life-safety upgrades. The work was done in a manner that is respectful of the architectural context – infrastructure was sensitively repaired, utilities were modernized, and dated non-historic interiors were refurbished – to bring contemporary living patterns and sustainability to the Campus. Phase I received its LEED® Gold Certification. The 25-acre site, currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
