Stanford Research Park Office Building

Palo Alto, California

The Porter Drive Office Building for Stanford University’s Land, Buildings, and Real Estate organization is part of the Stanford Research Park in Palo Alto, California. The Research Park’s Silicon Valley location provides easy access to the vast array of business, educational, and cultural opportunities available at Stanford, in Silicon Valley and around the Bay Area.

This project is designed as a speculative office building that Stanford can lease to various tenants. The project consists of office space totaling approximately 100,000 sq. ft. along with amenity spaces and an underground parking garage that will accommodate up to 230 cars. The project also provides secure onsite bicycle storage with shower and locker facilities.

EHDD’s design for Porter Drive embraces a new paradigm for the Silicon Valley office park–one that highlights environmental responsibility and responds to new trends in office buildings that require open, flexible floor plans and healthy workplaces. The design encompasses narrow floor plates that allow for maximum natural daylight, as well as outdoor spaces that are active where employees can interact and socialize.
