UC Davis Tercero Student Housing Phase 3

Davis, California

Tercero Student Housing Phase 3 at the University of California, Davis houses 1,200 students in a village-style configuration. Seven buildings make up two neighborhoods, each surrounding unique courtyards designed around existing heritage trees. This provides opportunities to develop community at multiple scales, from the residential cluster to the entire Tercero student housing area and to the campus and beyond. The LEED Platinum certified project also includes a fully equipped lecture hall and several staff offices.

Bicycle and pedestrian-friendly circulation and bike parking is woven through a diverse landscape of existing mature trees, native plants and community-centered landscape elements. Tercero Phase 3 directly responds to its existing context, the UC Davis campus fabric and to the heritage and climate of the surrounding Central Valley.
